Bike details;

Frame: Viking “Conquest” circa 1964. Size 22″. Made from “VCL Super Steel Tubes” assembled using “Prugnat” lugs.
Wheels: “Martano” sprint rims on large flange 36 hole “Pelissier P1001” QR hubs.
Chainset: T A “Cyclotourist” cotterless with 46, 36. Rings.
Pedals: Campagnolo Record “Superlight”
Toe clips and straps: Christophie.
Gear mechanism’s: Rear, Campagnolo “Record”. Front, Campagnolo “Valentino”.
Brakes: Mafac “Racer” calipers and leavers.
Handlebars: Cinelli “Campione del Mondo”
Stem: Cinelli.
Gear shifters: Sturmey Archer.
Saddle: Brooks “B17 Narrow”.
Seat Pin: SR
Headset: The original TDC “Italia”
Seat pin clamp bolt: The original “V” marked bolt
Various clips: Pump Umbrella, Gear Cable down tube Stops, by Campagnolo.
Pump: Bluemels, with Campagnolo Valve Head.
Tubs: Schwalbe “Milremo”

The restoration was undertaken autumn 2012 using a frame purchased from the famous Ebay site. This site was a good source of parts for the bike. Many of those items purchased were purchased as “New old stock” from the site.
The bike build, I believe is authentic to the 60’s era and would have been the specification for a keen club rider of that time ( although a little too expensive for me as an engineering apprentice at that time).
While the bike is fully built there are still some period parts to be sourced and fitted in the future, 2 x handlebar gear shifters and a gran sport seat pin by Campagnolo and a Cinelli steel handlebar stem.
